When to Vegas is run by a Las Vegas local who got tired of watching visitors pay triple for a hotel room because they landed in the middle of a convention they had never heard of.

How the ratings work

Every week is rated by the biggest event happening in town. Packed weeks have a major convention, race, festival or holiday that fills the city. Busy weeks have a smaller show or a holiday weekend. Quiet weeks have nothing major on the calendar.

How the price estimates work

Price ranges start from typical published rates for each type of hotel, then go up or down with the event level, the season and the day of the week. They are estimates to help you compare weeks, not quotes. Live prices are always on the booking sites.

How the site makes money

The site shows ads and uses affiliate links. If you book a hotel through one of the booking buttons, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes how a week is rated.
